April is National Financial Literacy Month! Financial Literacy Month evolved from Youth Financial Literacy Day, introduced by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) through their High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP) more than a decade ago. In 2003, the US Senate approved April to be the National Financial Literacy Month, expanding beyond just a day. This is a great opportunity to emphasize money management at your campus. Looking for an idea? Check out the CashCourse Money Makeover Challenge. This eight day event challenges students to complete a daily money management activity. At the end of the week, students will have a better understanding of their finances and a personalized monthly budget. Each day will cover a different topic and offer extra activities for those interested. Download the CashCourse Money Makeover Challenge kit. This kit includes suggested social media posts, email announcement template, and the challenge image.
